Select July 2014 Audience Commentaries @Berlin:
Camel I
-- everything is impermanent
-- Civilized society has become a part of our tangible body
-- the foundation of society shifts constantly
-- the camel is like God in the sky with Heaven and Hell on his back
-- rituals are the alcohol of children
-- who's leaving/living in here?
-- "the camel house people" is a nomadic tribe of very small people who lives in Antares IV
-- it reminds of the young people in China, who have to pay for their mortgage
Swan I
-- Fire swan/candle swan, the swan enlighten the dark city.
-- where is the black swan?
-- keep cool even if time is running up
Snail I
-- to get things done even if you are "just" a snail. maybe a cake at the end of the ladder.
-- patience will pay off
-- where there's a will, there's a way
-- the snail beats the castle
Elephant III
-- That's an uncomfortable painting, it's like Antonioni's film "blow up". Someone takes a photo and after they discover a corpse behind some bushes
Snake II
-- Danger in the mundane
-- why is the snake leaving
-- a modern version of the Garden of Eden. add apples to the tree
-- the snake-god strikes an oneiric Babylon. The Sumerians are gone, may Gilgamesh stand till the end?
Lion I
-- life is an enigma
-- sadness
-- why is he so busy thinking
-- the lion dreams of the sphinxes from the never-ending story
-- King Louis
-- He's cool. he seems to be thinking. life is not easy even if you are lion king
Horse I
-- Spanish equestrians
-- an old lady
-- Spain
-- That's a surrealist Raphael hors, the counselor of Florence, or better one of the invisible cities from Italo Calvino
Monkey I
-- Anus
-- Is he guarding the ashes of the monkey king? Are those the forbidden tomatoes of the Celestial palace?
-- this is a Rabbit with tomatoes
X I
-- so high to digest - Babel
-- the stomach tower is actually a reverse ziggurat which collects lost meanings creating new nice descriptions of the known universe
-- Eternity, life, death, eternity. --> there are bigger and smaller eternities (number of numbers between 1 and 1, 1 is bigger than between 1 and 1,05)
